Moin, moin! My name is Jan, and following my passion for language and literature, I decided to study German and comparative literature after graduating from high school. During my time at the University of Bonn, I not only gained insights into the literatures of various linguistic and cultural regions, I also had the opportunity to travel to South Korea for several months, where I was able to teach the German language to Korean students in Seoul. The enthusiasm I felt while teaching there I would now like to share with our students at speakeasy Hamburg.

I have always loved languages and went to a language school in France after graduation. That's why, being born in Ukraine, I decided to broaden my horizon and discover new countries. I studied German and English, Chinese language and culture. Hi, I'm Fatima and I'm from Hamburg. I have always been interested in languages, as they shape cultural identity and open up new horizons. Learning a new language gives me the opportunity to discover and get to know other cultures, which excites me every time. Finally, my voluntary work in the field of DaF/DaZ awakened in me the desire to deepen my knowledge and professionalise my skills. So, in addition to my main subjects, I completed the certificate programme Additional Qualification Interculturality and Multilingualism/German as a Foreign and Second Language at the University of Göttingen. With more than eight years of teaching experience, I have been responsible for teacher management and course coordination at speakeasy Hamburg since May 2023.
