speakeasy Scholarship

Finding your way in a new culture, adapting to a foreign environment, and learning a new language at the same time – building a life in another country is not always easy. That's why speakeasy has been offering a wide range of communication-orientated language courses for many years to support you on your adventure abroad.

But that's not all - because we are also offering you the opportunity to apply for our sought-after speakeasy scholarships!

Places

In addition to their studies, German courses and other duties, many students at our language school must work to pay for their living expenses. Our speakeasy scholarships are designed to help you gain a foothold in Germany and make your plans a little easier.
With our speakeasy scholarships, we support a total of 10 committed language learners:

                            1st place: scholarship of 1,500 EUR
2nd place: scholarship of EUR 1,000
3rd place: scholarship of 500 EUR

                        

How can I apply and what are the requirements?

With our scholarships, we would like to support the participants of speakeasy during their stay. Therefore, our scholarship offer applies to all existing course participants who have taken minimum two months of language courses with us. If you meet the formal requirements, you can take your chance and apply for our scholarship every year between 1st of April and 1st of October. To do so, just send us a 90-second video in which you introduce yourself and your personal motivations (in English).

After the application deadline, we will take a close look at all the submissions and then decide on our winners after careful consideration. When selecting the best applications, we also pay special attention to your personal motivation and social commitment, rather than just academic success. Your creativity in creating the video will also be taken into account in our evaluation.

You will know whether you have been selected for one of the speakeasy scholarships from 1st of November, when all applicants will receive a notification of the result of their application!

Review: speakeasy scholarship 2023

This year was the first time we awarded scholarships. And we were delighted with the positive response and the many great application videos. Some of our 2023 speakeasy scholarship winners have given us the permission to publish their application videos.
